PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

A public meeting is being held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the office of East Texas Municipal Utility District (ETMUD), located at 12162 SH 155 N., Tyler, Texas 75708 to discuss ETMUD’s proposed project to install approximately 6,000 linear feet of 16-inch water line from the intersection of CR 334 and CR 336 to the existing water storage tank facility at 12698 Fannin Pkwy. The project also includes the rehabilitation of one existing ground storage tank and one existing elevated storage tank at the water storage tank facility on Fannin Pkwy. One of the purposes of this hearing is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it. The total estimated cost of the project is $2,119,530.00. The estimated monthly bill for a typical resident is currently $47.96.  A user rate increase will not be required to finance this project. An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231. An Environmental Information Document for the project has been prepared which will be available for public review at the office of East Texas Municipal Utility District (ETMUD), located at 12162 SH 155 N., Tyler, Texas 75708 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on the proposed project may be sent to the East Texas Municipal Utility District or to the Texas Water Development Board.
